Duivelsbier Donker is a Belgian dark strong ale brewed by Brouwerij Boon in Lembeek.
Dark brown with a softly fruity character and rich malt flavours of caramel, coffee and chocolate. Full and smooth with gentle sweetness and a warming finish.
Duivelsbier dates back to 1883 and was originally brewed in Halle for pilgrims. Its name is said to come from a pilgrim who tasted it and exclaimed, “C'est une bière de diable!” — a devil of a beer.
