De Halve Maan - Belgian An amber coloured Belgian ale brewed using six different types of malts by the “Half Moon” Brewery in Bruges. It is the last authentic triple-style beer brewed in Bruges. Straffe Hendrik Tripel undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle. In 2016, it won the category for “Belgium’s Best Belgian Style Tripel” at the World Beer Awards. It was also awarded a silver medal at the World Beer Awards 2024. It is hopped extensively with the best quality Saaz and Styrian Golding hops. Refermentation in the bottle creates a living ale that guarantees a longer natural shelf life and an evolution of taste. Brugean Tripels are amber tripels using more roasted malts which makes them distinct from any other tripels. Caramel taste flows into bitterness, with the aftertaste comes a subtle hint of banana in combination with citrus fruits.
