St Bernardus - Belgian St Bernardus Prior is a Belgian Abbey beer that is ruby-purple in colour and has a full malty and fruity taste. In 2017, it was awarded a bronze medal at the World Beer Awards for the category of “World’s Best Belgian Style Dubbel” and in 2019, it was awarded a country winner medal for the same category. St Bernardus Prior was also awarded a bronze award at the World Beer Awards 2020 for the dark category. Smooth, creamy richness of texture that is almost oily, and a malt-fruit complexity reminiscent of coconut. It finds the perfect balance between sweet, bitter and malty tastes. One of the original recipes from the days of license-brewing for the Trappist monks of Westvleteren.
